Jesus: Lord of Lords and King of Kings
In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. (2 Timothy 4:1-2, NLT)

Today

God wants us to live in the present; the Present is the point at which time touches eternity. (Matthew 6:11, 34) We are destined for eternity and should be learning to live in the timeless universe of today-only. Remember, the past is forzen and no longer flows; tomorrow does not exist and may never exist. We wallow in the pleasures and miseries of today and all the while we lust for, or dread, tomorrow. Yet, tomorrow only exists in the mind of man, thus making it Satan’s favorite playground.

When we walk in dreams of tomorrow we open the door for Satan to fills our minds with the desires of the flesh. When we set our eyes on tomorrow we are oblivious to today, except for its pleasures, which only serve to instill in us a perpetual quest to fulfil the desires of the flesh. Yes, what we do today can sometimes lay the foundation for tomorrow. Thus, if our secular activities today put Jesus first then our tomorrow, should it come to exist, will have Jesus as its foundation. Without Jesus being first, our belief in tomorrow will fill our minds with greed, lust, hatred, discord, envey, jealousy, self-ambition, dissensions and wanton expectations. For in truth, the sin executed today most often began in yesterday’s thoughts of tomorrow.

It is more profitable to live only for today, for in today is the opportunity to draw neigh to God. When we have set our eyes on heavenly things and drawn neight to God we are living in eternity; the past and the future no longer exist. The present is our opportunity to experience eternity and transform our minds in the pattern of the eternal: Christ Jesus.

Where the Bible speaks we speak; where the Bible is silent we are silent.

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:10-12, NLT)

 May God Bless,
